Abstrak

Diabetes melitus tipe 2 (DMT2) adalah penyakit degeneratif diakibatkan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah. Rekomendasi terapi untuk penanganan DMT2 adalah penerapan pola hidup sehat dan intervensi farmakologis. Kecambah beras hitam memiliki kandungan serat, antosianin, dan flavonoid tinggi. Produk minuman fungsional Germinated Black Rice (GEMAR) diharapkan membantu memperbaiki kadar glukosa darah dan berat badan penderita DMT2. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh minuman GEMAR dosis 3,8 dan 7,6 g/200 gBB terhadap glukosa darah puasa dan berat badan tikus model DMT2. Metode penelitian eksperimen laboratorik dengan rancangan pre-posttest control group design. Sampel tikus jantan sejumlah 30 ekor, terbagi menjadi 5 kelompok.  Hasil penelitian menemukan glukosa darah puasa (GDP) kelompok obat acarbose, P1 (GEMAR 3,8 g/200 g BB) dan P2 (GEMAR 7,6 g/200 gBB) signifikan berbeda nyata (p<0,001) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol negatif. Efek penurunan GDP dari perlakuan obat acarbose (148%), P1 (177%), dan P2 (128%). Perubahan berat badan pada kelompok obat acarbose, P1 dan P2 signifikan berbeda nyata (p<0,001) dibandingkan kontrol negatif. Efek perbaikan peningkatan kelompok obat acarbose (4%), P1 (7%), dan P2 (5%) dibandingkan saat adaptasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan minuman fungsional GEMAR P1 dan P2 dapat menurunkan kadar GDP dan memperbaiki peningkatan berat badan tikus model DMT2.
