Abstrak

Glibenklamid nama lain dari gliburid adalah salah satu dari obat antidiabetes oral (ADO) yang bekerja dengan cara menutup saluran K+-ATP  di sel beta pankreas sehingga meningkatkan pelepasan insulin. 4-trans-hydroxyglibenklamid adalah metabolit utama glibenklamid yang juga memiliki efek hipoglikemik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui panjang gelombang maksimum glibenklamid dan metabolitnya 4-trans-hydroxyglibenklamid.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa panjang gelombang maksimum glibenklamid berada pada 300,60 nm, sementara 4-trans-hydroxyglibenklamid berada pada 299,50 nm dan kurva kalibrasi glibenklamid diperoleh dengan persamaan regresi Y= Y=0,010x+0,001 dengan koefisien korelasi 0,998, sementara 4-trans-hydroxyglibenklamid Y= 0,0102x-0,0098 dengan koefisien korelasi 0,992.
