Review Pengembangan Formulasi Sediaan Nano Minyak Atsiri Terhadap Aktivitas Farmakologi

Abstrak
Minyak atsiri merupakan cairan hasil dari proses ekstraksi tanaman atau bagian tanaman aromatis yang umunya memiliki kandungan terpenoid yang mudah menguap. Minyak ini ditandai dengan bau khas dari masing-masing tanaman yang diakibatkan perbedaan dari senyawa penyusunnya. Minyak atsiri memiliki banyak aktivitas farmakologi seperti antioksidan, antibakteri dll. Pengembangan formulasi nano banyak dikembangakan tidak terkecuali pada minyak atsiri. Nanoemulsi, nanogel, dan nanoemulgel merupakan salah satu bentuk formulasi nano yang diterapkan dalam pembuatan sediaan farmasi yang mengandung minyak atsiri. Maka dari itu tujuan dari review ini adalah untuk menyajikan hasil penelitian terbaru mengenai formulasi minyak atsiri dengan nanoteknologi yang banyak dikembangkan dan pengaruhnya terhadap aktivitas farmakologinya . Artikel yang digunakan pada review ini dipublikasikan dari tahun 2013-2023 yang terindeks scopus. Formulasi dari sediaan minyak atsiri dalam bentuk nano meningkatkan efek farmakologi dari minyak atsiri diantaranya meningkatkan efek antioksidan, antibakteri, antifungal, antipoliferatif, antivirus dan penurunan toksisitas yang dapat bermanfaat sebagai acuan formulasi sediaan nano untuk minyak atsiri.
