Effectiveness of KPSP Pro Digital Media Education in Enhancing Mothers’ Role in Early Detection and Monitoring of Growth and Development Among Infants Aged 0–24 Months

Abstract
participation, yet routine monitoring remains inconsistent in many primary-care settings. KPSP Pro is a digital educational medium that presents age-appropriate developmental screening guidance derived from the Indonesian Kuesioner Pra Skrining Perkembangan (KPSP) framework. This quasi-experimental pretest-posttest study with a control group evaluated the effectiveness of KPSP Pro in strengthening mothers' roles in early detection and monitoring of growth and development among infants aged 0-24 months. Sixty mothers in the Pustu Pematang Lalang working area, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, were analyzed, with 30 participants in the intervention group receiving KPSP Pro-based education and 30 in the control group receiving conventional education. Maternal-role scores increased from 49.27 +/- 6.68 to 82.53 +/- 13.51 in the intervention group and from 48.17 +/- 6.23 to 59.17 +/- 7.03 in the control group. Both within-group changes and the between-group difference in score change were statistically significant (p<0.001). These findings indicate that KPSP Pro-based digital education was associated with a markedly greater improvement in maternal participation in early growth and developmental monitoring than conventional education.
