One of the medicinal plants used for traditional anti-inflammatory treatment is the Putri malu plant (Mimosa pudica Linn.). Ethanol extract of the Putri malu was obtained using the soxhletation method. This study aims to determine the anti-inflammatory effect of ethanol extract of Putri malu leaves with various dosages, namely 250mg/kg BW, 500mg/kg BW, and 1000mg/kg BW, where diclofenac sodium was used as a comparison. Testing the anti-inflammatory effect was done using artificial oedema formation using egg white as an inducer. They are measuring the volume of paw oedema in rats using a plethismometer. The results show that a 50 mg/kg BW dose does not have an anti-inflammatory effect. A dose of 500 mg/kg BW and a dose of 1000 mg/kg BW gave an anti-inflammatory effect where there was a decrease in the average oedema volume. This study concludes that the ethanolic extract of Putri malu (Mimosa pudica Linn) has the potential effect as an anti-inflammatory at a dose of 1000 mg/kg BW ER -
