Abstract

Indonesia's Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) are still high. Most causes of maternal death are bleeding, infection, or high blood pressure during pregnancy. Postpartum haemorrhage, the highest cause of maternal death, is closely related to anaemia in pregnant women. Anaemia during pregnancy can increase the risk of low birth weight, premature birth, perinatal death, and neonatal death. This study aims to determine the relationship between diet and the incidence of anaemia in pregnant women at the Kotanopan Community Health Center. The research design was cross-sectional with a sample size of 132 pregnant women selected using proportional stratified random sampling. The results show no relationship between diet and the incidence of anaemia in pregnant women, with values p-value= 0,604. Conclusion: The results of this study can be concluded that there is no relationship between diet and the incidence of anaemia in pregnant women.
